Kapteyn_MIT2_circle-3 I am a researcher working at the intersection of computational science, machine learning, and autonomous systems. I completed my PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Center for Computational Science and Engineering. My PhD research centered around developing algorithms that combine physics-based computational models with in-flight sensor data to enable intelligent decision-making for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). I am currently continuing this research as a Research Associate at the Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences, where I am a member of the Willcox Research group.
